ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Programs Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for refugee and immigrant services at World Relief Sacramento, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed programming that meets funder requirements and client goals. Reporting to the Senior Resettlement Manager, this role directly supervises caseworkers and program staff, coordinates service delivery, maintains compliance, and represents the organization with community partners.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.
- Program Oversight:
- Oversee program implementation to ensure compliance with funder and agency requirements.
- Monitor client caseloads to ensure timely, strengths-based, and trauma-informed service delivery.
- Conduct case file reviews and verify accurate, timely data entry and documentation.
- Review and approve client assistance expenditures and staff reimbursements.
- Track client enrollment, progress, and outcomes; prepare required reports and updates.
- Provide guidance and problem-solving support for escalated client situations, including housing, health, or urgent service needs.
- Develop, implement, and refine program guidelines, workflows, and procedures to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Provide technical assistance with case management databases and reporting systems.
- Supervision & Team Support:
- Supervise and develop staff through onboarding, task delegation, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Hold regular one-on-one and team meetings to review caseloads, address challenges, and provide support.
- Approve staff timesheets, manage PTO requests, and oversee scheduling.
- Provide ongoing training to strengthen trauma-informed and strengths-based case management.
- Promote collaboration across teams and departments to ensure holistic client support.
- Engage and support interns and volunteers in partnership with program and CCE staff.
- Foster a positive, professional work environment that emphasizes wellness, accountability, and growth.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate documentation is collected, maintained, and entered into required systems.
- Monitor staff compliance with eligibility assessments, case management practices, and client follow-ups.
- Coordinate peer reviews and develop systems to address quality assurance gaps.
- Troubleshoot client or program concerns in collaboration with partners and funders.
- Participate in audits, program monitoring, and required trainings.
- Promote adherence to World Relief policies, values, and safeguarding principles.
- Community Engagement & Partnerships:
- Represent the program in internal and external meetings, consultations, and trainings.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, service providers, and local agencies to expand resources for clients.
- Strengthen relationships with local organizations and community groups to support client integration and success.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure clients have access to housing, education, orientation, financial, and wellness supports.
- Partner with the Church and Community Engagement team to identify and mobilize resources (volunteers, interns, in-kind goods) to support clients and programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in case management, refugee resettlement, or related social services.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and strengths-based practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem solve, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency with data entry, case management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have access to a reliable, private vehicle and insurance that can be used for local travel.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Flexibility and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced work environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work sensitively and effectively in cross-cultural settings
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics and data tracking systems preferred.
- Proven ability to utilize digital communication tools, such as Zoom, Teams, and other platforms
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize duties, and navigate stressful situations.
- Knowledge of social work principles, case management techniques, and integrated delivery system models.
