Associate Counsel
Summary
This position will report to and be responsible for assisting the Senior Vice President & Chief Legal Officer on all management, corporate, legal and regulatory matters, including but not limited to: general contracts, physician agreements, leases, risk management, management of external counsel, governance matters, and employment law.
Minimum Qualifications
- Juris Doctor Degree (JD) from an accredited law school
- Current admission to Pennsylvania Bar
- Healthcare legal experience
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a corporate law department or equivalent in-house legal role, or law firm experience, with relevant healthcare experience
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve established goals and exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision or oversight
- Computer proficiency
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must interact daily with system and hospital senior executives, middle management, retained outside counsel, Medical Staff leaders, and community members
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience practicing as a healthcare attorney, or significant in-house legal experience, with a Pennsylvania non-profit healthcare entity.
