The Electrical Controls Technologist will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of electrical products and systems. Performs equipment engineering design evaluations. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. The Electrical Controls Technologist will be responsible, but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Design and implement electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation for high-temperature furnaces.
- Develop and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
- Select and specify electrical components and materials suitable for high-temperature environments.
- Testing and Validation:
- Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems and components to ensure performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing solutions and corrective actions as needed.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure designs and implementations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for internal use and regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and other team members to integrate electrical systems with mechanical designs.
- Provide technical support and guidance during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of furnace systems.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in electrical design and manufacturing.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Compensation details: 70000-90000 Yearly Salary
