Job Description – Cabinet Door Manufacturing Floor Supervisor
Position Title: Manufacturing Floor Supervisor – Cabinet Door Production
Reports To: Plant Management
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary
The Cabinet Door Manufacturing Floor Supervisor oversees daily production operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring door production meets quality, efficiency, and safety standards. This role oversees and supports production staff, monitors workflow, resolves issues, and drives continuous improvement in processes to meet customer and company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, lead, and motivate production team members in assembly, finishing, and related manufacturing processes.
- Schedule and assign daily work to meet production deadlines while maintaining efficiency and quality.
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing, equipment, and processes as needed to optimize output.
- Train, coach, and develop employees in production techniques, safety practices, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements.
- Conduct regular quality checks and coordinate with Quality Control to resolve issues.
- Partner with maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and maintain a safe, clean production environment.
- Lead or assist in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
- Handle employee relations on the floor, including attendance, performance feedback, and discipline when necessary.
- Support onboarding of new employees and foster a positive, team-oriented culture.
Qualifications
- Must be bilingual and proficient in Spanish.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or coursework in manufacturing/woodworking preferred.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably cabinetry, woodworking, or furniture production.
- Strong knowledge of assembly processes and safety standards.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret work orders.
- Computer proficiency
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to dust, noise, and machinery.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
