Job Summary
Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and Hospital policies. Participates in performance/process improvements efforts including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of Medical Staff Performance. Uses the principles and guidelines for acquiring and maintaining Magnet Status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in performing duties to support safe and effective care.

2. Ability to evaluate quality issues and present data to other professionals in a clear concise manner.
3. Ability to understand, use and teach the principles of performance improvement.
4. Proficient in utilizing the principals of analytical assessment and creative problem-solving.
5. Knowledge of hospital systems and organizational relationships.
6. Ability to conduct research.
7. Ability to apply knowledge of TJC, TDH, and Regulatory Accrediting Agency Standards to assure compliance.
8. Skilled in the use of computer systems and related software applications.
9. Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
10. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
11. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
Work Experience
One year of supervisory/management experience required. Strong clinical experience in development and/or implementation of performance improvement activities, participating in performance improvement committees.
License/Registration/Certification
1. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas required.
2. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
Education and Training
Bachelor degree in Nursing required. Master degree preferred.
