Responsibilities:
- Prepare delicious and nutritious meals for residents, adhering to dietary restrictions and special dietary needs.
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
- Assist the Chef with supervising the dietary department, including staff training and scheduling.
- Interact with residents to ensure their satisfaction with meal service.
- Participate in training on Chef responsibilities and perform supervisory duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a reputable culinary institute.
- ServSafe Food Service Manager and ServSafe Allergen certifications required (must be obtained within three months of hire).
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations and requirements preferred.
- At least two years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen.
