BL101 began as an Instagram account started by a baseball obsessed teenager on his couch that started a community and has grown into something bigger than he ever could've imagined.
Today, Baseball Lifestyle has over 200 employees, retail locations in malls and tournament complexes, and can be found in various sporting goods stores around the country, like Dick's Sporting Goods, Scheels, and Academy. The community built at BL101 has grown with the company's success and the mission to grow the love of baseball stands true every day.
The journey at Baseball Lifestyle has brought our brand around the country to some of the biggest venues has to offer, and we will continue to spread our love of baseball and our brand to not just baseball fans, but everyone that is looking for the best off-field apparel the industry has to offer.
About the role
- The Director of Content will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with business goals. The Director of Content will work across a variety of media, including print, various social media platforms, miscellaneous online platforms, TV, and radio. This is an exempt role and will report directly to the Chief Creative Officer.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and increase traffic to our website and various social media platforms. .
- Oversee the production and distribution of content across various channels.
- Ability to coordinate a production schedule for marketing productions and general brand content.
- Provide feedback, insight, and direction on longform content pieces
- Ensure content quality and consistency, maintain brand tone and voice.
- Availability to be on site for content production shoots with athletes, influencers, and BL Team.
- Use social media and other marketing channels to promote content
- Analyze metrics and performance data to optimize strategies and tactics for maximum impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in brand messaging.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to continuously improve social media efforts.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a similar role, preferred
- Strong understanding of online marketing platforms, algorithms, and trends
- Excellent communication skills
- Expertise in social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and storytelling
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
