Cass Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician to join our growing maternal health team. This position will support our current OB/GYN providers and expand access to high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care in both Atlantic and surrounding communities.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive OB/GYN services in a thriving outpatient clinic and hospital setting. You will be responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, surgical and procedural care, deliveries, and postpartum support, while contributing to an exceptional patient experience.
Cass Health delivers approximately 150 babies annually, providing personalized care in a modern, family-centered environment. The OB delivering team includes one additional OB/GYN physician and two family medicine physicians with OB (FPOB) training, ensuring robust call coverage and a collaborative atmosphere.
In 2023, Cass Health was named a Rural Center of Excellence for our OB care by the Governor of Iowa. Over the past few years, Cass Health has significantly expanded its maternal health services across southwest Iowa through strategic collaborations with Adair County Health System, Montgomery County Hospital, and CHI Corning Hospital. These partnerships enable local prenatal and postnatal care for residents in Adair, Adams, and Montgomery Counties, with Cass Health serving as the regional hub for comprehensive maternity care and deliveries.
Cass Health has also implemented an OB Patient Navigation Program, which helps expectant mothers navigate the healthcare system and overcome barriers related to transportation, financial hardship, and social determinants of health. We work closely with our public health partners to reduce maternal health disparities and improve community outcomes.
Our modern Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) suites provide a warm, family-centered environment where patients receive continuity of care in the same comfortable room throughout their stay. Providers benefit from a well-supported environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in Iowa.
- Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care and rural health service.
