Job Description: Panel Saw Operator - Metal Roofing Manufacturing
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Panel Saw Operator to join our Metal Roofing manufacturing team. As a Panel Saw Operator, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw metal materials into precision-cut panels for our roofing products. Additionally, you will be responsible for wrapping pallets to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of finished goods. This is a full-time position offering an hourly wage of $15-$17, with regular working hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime opportunities are available for those willing to contribute to our team's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Panel Saw Operation: Operate panel saw machinery to cut and shape raw metal materials according to specified dimensions and product requirements. Ensure precision and accuracy in panel cutting for the production of high-quality metal roofing components.
- Pallet Wrapping: Safely and securely wrap pallets to prepare finished products for shipment. Adhere to packaging guidelines to minimize damage during transportation and maintain the integrity of the final product.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a smooth workflow. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and efficient manufacturing process.
- Forklift Operation: Utilize forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse and production areas. Previous forklift experience is required, and forklift certification is preferred. Safely handle and maneuver materials to prevent accidents and damage.
- Warehouse Experience: Draw upon previous warehouse experience to optimize the organization of materials, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.
- Saw and Nail Gun Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of saws and nail guns. Experience with these tools is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient production of metal roofing panels.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Panel Saw Operator in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with saws, nail guns, and warehouse operations is essential.
- Forklift Certification: While previous forklift experience is required, having an official forklift certification is preferred.
- Team Player: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are crucial. The ability to work effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment is a key aspect of this role.
- Work Hours: The standard work hours for this position are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime opportunities are available based on business needs.
- Background Check and Drug Test: Candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug test as part of the hiring process.
Compensation:
