About the Role:
The OMHC Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of an outpatient mental health clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining efficient administrative processes. This position requires strategic leadership to coordinate clinical and support staff, manage budgets, and implement policies that align with regulatory standards and organizational goals. The Practice Manager will serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, and external partners to foster a collaborative and supportive environment. By optimizing workflow and resource allocation, the manager ensures that the clinic operates smoothly and meets performance targets. Ultimately, this role is essential in enhancing patient satisfaction, improving clinical outcomes, and sustaining the financial health of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of clinical and administrative personnel to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
- Develop and monitor budgets, financial reports, and billing processes to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Implement and update clinic policies and procedures in accordance with legal, ethical, and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to support clinical programs, quality improvement initiatives, and patient care strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient concerns, resolving issues promptly to maintain high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate with external agencies, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and facilitate partnerships.
- Utilize data analytics to assess clinic performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare practice management, preferably within mental health services.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing practices, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline.
- Experience with outpatient mental health clinics or behavioral health services.
- Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and patient-centered care models.
- Certification in Practice Management or Healthcare Management (e.g., AAPC, HFMA).
