Hospice RN – Essex & Union Counties
Spero Hospice is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is about delivering skilled, compassionate care to patients and families when it matters most. You’ll manage symptoms, coordinate care, and help patients stay comfortable and supported through every stage.

Compensation:$48 - $53 hourly
Responsibilities:- Conduct in-home assessments and manage symptom control
- Develop and update care plans to meet patient needs
- Provide direct clinical care focused on comfort and dignity
- Collaborate with the medical director, social workers, and aides
- Support families and guide them through the hospice process
- Advocate for patients’ wishes and cultural values
- Participate in team meetings and coordinate care strategies
- Communicate with outside providers as needed
- Educate families on care expectations and ways to help
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for compliance and continuity
Qualifications:- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
- 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience (hospice, palliative care, or related field preferred)
- Knowledge of hospice philosophy and end-of-life care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and related healthcare software
