Description:
Position: Residence Staff, St Hilda's House
Reports to: Program Director
Function: Provides direct service to clients, assisting with training in skills of daily living.
Location: Manhattan (Hamilton Heights)
Schedule(s): Tuesdays through Saturdays (3:00pm-11:00pm)
Tasks:
- Monitors the entry and egress of residents and guests.
- Provides the first line of defense in case of emergencies; (i.e. calling management, the fire department in case of a fire, etc.) and assists with building evacuation.
- Administers self-preservation test, standardized health screening tools, conducts and documents fire drills, conducts and documents smoke/CO detector tests
- Monitors and documents client self-administration of medication.
- Reports incidents or behavioral changes in residents.
- Reviews and updates daily logs.
- Assists residents in performing adult skills of daily living.
- Monitors overall maintenance of residence and alerts program director of maintenance problems.
- Responsible for meal preparation, setup, serving/distribution, and cleanup.
- Organizes social and recreational activities.
- Light cleaning as needed.
- Inventories supplies and organizes storage areas.
- Audits program records, as assigned.
- Attends training as requested by supervisory staff.
- Provides front desk coverage at other ACMH residential locations as assigned, based on program needs.
- Duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
High school diploma and the ability to work with people and the ability to take responsibility to carry out the duties of the position. Willingness to cover front desk shifts at multiple ACMH residential locations as needed.
Full-Time Salary: $41,600 plus generous benefits
