About Civ Robotics
Civ Robotics is on a mission to automate repetitive tasks within the $3 trillion infrastructure construction industry. We’re dedicated to bridging the workforce gap and accelerating the development of essential infrastructure projects. At the core of our mission is our innovative technology in robotics and autonomous navigation.
With over 120 robots deployed and operating across construction sites in North America, Europe, and the Middle East, we are revolutionizing the way infrastructure is built. Our flagship product, CivDot™, automates the layout process for large-scale construction projects—making them faster, more accurate, and less reliant on skilled labor.
We proudly support some of the largest players in construction, solar, and energy, including Bechtel, Primoris, and Keeley Construction. Much of our work is focused on green energy and the expansion of solar farms, where precision and scale are paramount.
Join us and become an integral member of our dynamic team, leading the charge in pioneering construction robotics innovation!
Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Engineer to lead the successful deployment and implementation of Civ Robotics’ technology on some of the most advanced construction projects in the United States. You will play a critical role in onboarding and supporting clients—especially in the green energy and solar sectors—ensuring seamless integration of our robotics system.
This role is onsite in the Bay Area, with flexibility to work from home once a week and approximately 30% travel to customer construction sites.
Responsibilities
Onboarding Success
- Provide onsite training to clients, ensuring they are successfully utilizing our robotics system. This includes travel to customer construction sites.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation phase, building and nurturing strong, long-term client relationships.
- Work closely with clients to understand their evolving needs, ensuring our solutions are tailored to their specific project requirements and future goals.
- Leverage insights from implementation to identify opportunities for expanding and deepening client relationships, working to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Project Management
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful on-time delivery of solutions.
- Identify and resolve any implementation challenges, ensuring projects stay on track and meet client expectations.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and milestones to senior leadership.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to ensure the products meet client specifications and can be deployed efficiently.
- Collaborate with Civ’s customer support team to provide post-implementation support and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales and account management team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts. Support the sales team in preparing information for proposals, presentations, and customized solutions for potential clients.
- Push opportunities with marketing for deliverables such as case studies, multi media content, web features, speaking engagements, and more.
- Regularly sync with account and finance teams to ensure clients are billed accurately and timely.
Continuous Improvement
- Develop and refine internal implementation processes to improve efficiency and scalability across multiple projects.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and customize external operating procedures for Civ’s largest customers. These procedures should be created in partnership with the client to create a repeatable plan to implement Civ’s products.
- Gather feedback from clients and internal teams to improve the functionality, usability, and deployment processes of our solutions.
Risk Management
- Proactively identify project or account risks and work to mitigate them by implementing risk management strategies. These risks could include billings or contract risk resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation, collaborating with engineering teams as necessary.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in construction project management, implementation, deployments, or applications.
- Preferred experience with surveying, GPS, Total Stations and other surveying equipment
- Track record of successfully managing complex construction projects, particularly those involving advanced technology or robotics.
