We are seeking a behavioral health manager to oversee the daily operations of our psychiatric providers and medical assistants. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, improving patient outcomes, and streamlining workflows. Collaborative Care Model (CoCM)
CoCM stands for Collaborative Care Model. It is a team-based approach to mental health that involves collaboration between primary care providers, behavioral health coordinators, medical assistants, and psychiatric providers to deliver integrated and comprehensive care to individuals with mental health conditions. The goal of CoCM is to improve access to mental health services through community-based recourses, enhance patient outcomes, and provide more holistic and coordinated care.
Behavioral Health Psychiatric Provider Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the psychiatric providers and medical assistants.
- Collaborate with the other behavioral health managers to ensure consistent and efficient department operations.
- Implement and monitor clinical protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
- Coordinate with other departments within Optima Medical to ensure integrated patient care.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or challenges within the department.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Participate in strategic planning and development of the behavioral health program.
Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, preferred.
- Three years of previous experience in behavioral health, preferred.
- One year of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and departments.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft products, and other relevant software.
