About the Role:
The Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Diagnostics plays a crucial role in the health care sector by assessing and developing exercise programs tailored for patients with cardiovascular conditions. This position focuses on improving patients' overall health and quality of life through scientifically-based exercise interventions. The Exercise Physiologist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patient progress and adjust programs as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. By utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques, the professional will provide valuable insights into patients' cardiovascular health. Ultimately, the goal is to empower patients to take control of their health through safe and effective exercise regimens.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Certification as an Exercise Physiologist from a recognized organization (e.g., ACSM, NSCA).
- Experience working with patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Clinical healthcare experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word/Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field.
- Additional certifications in cardiac rehabilitation or related specialties.
- Experience in a clinical setting focused on cardiac diagnostics.
- IV Certification
- Clinical cardiology experience
- ACLS (Will need to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Experience in an EMR, ADP Workforce Now
- Cardiology experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' cardiovascular health and fitness levels.
- Develop individualized exercise prescriptions based on assessment results and patient goals.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress during exercise sessions, making necessary adjustments to their programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Educate patients on the importance of exercise and lifestyle modifications for managing their cardiovascular health.
- Monitor stress test and be able to identify abnormalities
Skills:
The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of exercise physiology and the ability to interpret diagnostic tests related to cardiovascular health. Daily work will involve applying these skills to create safe and effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs. Preferred skills, such as advanced knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation techniques, will enhance the ability to provide comprehensive care. Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with the health care team. Additionally, analytical skills will be utilized to assess patient progress and make data-driven decisions regarding their exercise plans.
Work Environment
This position will report to the office Monday- Friday from 6:30 am – 5:00 PM.

This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
