Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains and updates salary bands through job analysis and the utilization of market data.
- Analyzes salaries in comparison to salary bands to ensure adherence to compensation strategy and internal equity.
- Provides data for all federal, state and local reporting, including California Pay Data, Affirmative Action and EEOC requirements.
- Administers compensation programs, including annual salary reviews and incentive/bonus programs.
- Maintains systems and ensures integrity of all data.
- Analyzes salaries of employees hired through acquisitions and makes recommendations for incorporating them into the compensation plan.
- Prices new positions and recommends salary ranges.
- Advises on salary changes for new hires and promotions.
- Compiles data for the purpose of making total reward program decisions.
- Provides finance with required data for accounting, budgeting and payroll purposes.
- Assists in the formulation and revisions to compensation strategy.
- Provides external compensation survey data.
- Helps to answer manager and employee concerns regarding compensation.
- Serves as back-up for other members of the total rewards team.
- Knowledge of compensation and benefit program design and implementation.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Working experience in the application of relevant human resource federal and state regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA COBRA, FMLA, FLSA and ADA.
- Ability to work with all levels and across all divisions within an organization.
- Desire to provide optimal employee service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act in an ethical and professional manner in dealing with employee and company information.
- Ability to stay informed and adapt to regulatory changes.
- Other duties as assigned to meet company and department needs.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of experience related to total rewards analysis.
- 3+ years of experience with compensation plan design and benefit compliance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, as demonstrated by a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Experience working in a complex organization, with multiple locations throughout the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency with ADP.
- 7+ years of experience related to total rewards analysis.
- 5+ years of experience with compensation plan design and benefit compliance.
- Union experience.
- Canadian total rewards experience.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Be able to lift and carry, drawings, personal computers, material, and spend significant time sitting etc.
- Be able to lift up to 30lbs.
- Be able to spend significant time standing and walking.
- Be able to climb flights of stairs throughout a typical day.
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, if driving a company vehicle or participating in an auto allowance program
