Pay: $51.61-$83.00/ hour
Location: Mountain View, CA
Shift: Per Diem (Shifts Vary)

Essential Functions:
The Echo Technologist uses non-invasive cardiovascular technology equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions.
- Prepares for examinations by checking equipment, taking inventory of supplies, replenishing stock as needed, reviewing physician/provider’s orders and patient schedules, and entering patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Manages potential patient anxiety by thoroughly explaining exam procedures, and answering questions in a clear and understandable manner.
- Positions patients, applies medical gels and electrodes, connects and adjusts equipment and verifies wave signals.
- Produces high-quality imaging by accurately positioning transducer, monitoring display, listening to signals, adjusting beam strength and focus, detecting artifacts that mimic abnormalities, and recording images.
- Records examination details by printing data and graphics, producing measurements of heart wall, chamber size, and blood flow direction and velocity and comparing measurements to established norms.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients

- Adheres to HR, safety, HIPAA and compliance policies, and attendance requirements
- Performs work in accordance with established schedules, policies and procedures.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by following established procedures to safeguard confidential information and advising others regarding possible breaches.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Associate degree in cardiovascular technology or complete a program in ultrasonography preferred
- Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program
- Must have a minimum of 1 year echo cardiology experience
- Previous cardiovascular diagnostic testing experience preferred.
- Must be certified through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
