Pediatric Outpatient Psychologist

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) Department of Psychology is growing our team in Northern Virginia! We are seeking to hire two Psychologists to support several of our medical specialty clinics.
The primary role of our Psychologists will provide psychological support within PSV’s patients including our following department GI, Urology, Orthopedic, Neurology opportunities available based on the candidate’s expertise/department needs. This is a full-time outpatient hybrid position including remote and in-person work opportunities to join our existing group of two psychologists.
PSV offers behavior health consultations and short-term behavioral health support for concerns related to specific specialty conditions.
Responsibilities
- Providing consultations and evidence-based treatment for children experiencing simple voiding disorders such as daytime incontinence within the GI/Urology and Orthopedic and Neurology departments based on the candidate's expertise.
- Program development activities within the Psychology Services.
- Consultation to medical in clinic settings to support treatment planning.
- Perform consultations both in person and virtually with equal proficiency.
- Opportunities to supervise Psychology externs.
- Participate in committees and organizational meetings.
- Assist with annual quality improvement projects.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship
- PhD or PsyD from an APA-accredited program
- Must hold or be eligible to apply for an unrestricted license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Training and experience in collaborative, integrated behavioral health models of service delivery in specialty medical clinics are highly preferred.
Qualifications Desired
- Post-doctoral level experience in a pediatric medical setting.
