JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
-
Provides leadership to the Coast to the Cascades Community Wellness Network (CCCWN), which works to enhance the health of communities through development and support for collaborative regional partnerships in Benton, Lincoln, and Linn Counties. Works closely with SHS leadership and community partners to recommend strategies and programs that promote community health. Works with the grant writing team to identify appropriate grants and participates in the development, writing, and submission of CCCWN and related grants. Participates in regional advisory committees, working groups, and other subcommittees and coalitions. Manages grant funded staff to ensure compliance with programming, budgeting and reporting requirements as well as provides oversight and management of department staff. Supports the functions and activities of the Grants and Sponsored Programs Department.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The SHS Grants & Sponsored Prgms team provides administration, management, and compliance oversight of external grant funds awarded to Samaritan for programs, projects, equipment, and construction. Services include identifying and securing funding that aligns with the SHS Mission “Building Healthier Communities Together;” administering grants throughout the life cycle from application through award and final closeout; and providing support to the Coast to the Cascades Community Wellness Network (CCCWN) serving our multi-county service area. The team works closely with local and regional organizations and coalitions to identify and address community health needs; and represents Samaritan Health Services on local, state, and national coalitions that support the mission, vision, and goals of Samaritan Health Services.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
Master’s degree required. Master of Public Health preferred.

Four (4) years experience in community health work required. Hospital or health system experience preferred.

Experience in leadingcollaborative/interdisciplinary groups and facilitating strategic partnerships to advance shared goals, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and community interests required.

Experience with MS Office Suite and data management software required.
-
Experience in grant writing, program management, and budgeting required.

Experience or training in the following preferred:

Concepts of public health and health promotion.

Program design, implementation, and evaluation.
