Maintenance Specialist Job Summary
A Maintenance Specialist has working knowledge of one or more of the following Mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C., Plumbing or Carpentry skills. Repairs and maintains physical building and plant equipment including boilers, pumps, compressors, and emergency generator. Basic knowledge of blue print reading, schematics and service manuals. Required to be on call 24/7 as scheduled, work weekends and holidays when on call.
Duties and Responsibilities Performs a variety of general, mechanical and preventive maintenance as well as inspections, servicing, repair and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the hospital and other related organizations. Performs documentation of duties within the preventative maintenance management program and CRx regulatory system. Involvement with special function/projects.
Maintenance Specialist Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school experience or on the job training.
- 5 Years’ experience, licensed in one or more of the following: Plumbing, H.V.A.C., Electric commercial/residential (both high and low voltage), Stationary Engineer, and/or Carpentry skills.
- Basic knowledge of steam and hydronic boiler and piping systems
- A general understanding of reading blue prints, schematics and service manuals. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
- Current driver’s license with a clean driving record.
