Psychotherapist
Position Summary:
We are seeking a licensed psychotherapist—Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Certified Psychologist (LCP)—to provide individual therapy using evidence-based, client-centered approaches. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, maintaining detailed clinical documentation, and upholding the highest ethical and professional standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial intake assessments and develop diagnostic impressions.
- Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy.
- Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
- Monitor client progress and revise treatment strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including session notes, billing, and reports.
- Collaborate with referral sources, medical providers, and community resources.
- Offer crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary.
- Adhere to Florida's laws, licensing regulations, and professional ethical codes.
- Participate in case consultation, supervision, and team meetings.
- Support client continuity of care, including discharge planning and referrals.
Required Qualifications:
Active Florida License as either:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) – meets FL licensing criteria (master's + 2 years supervised + exam)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – master's in social work from CSWE-accredited program + required clinical hours + ASWB exam
- License Certified Psychologist (LCP) - must hold a doctoral degree in psychology --either Ph.D. or Psy.D.- from an APA-accredited program + supervised clinical hours, EPPP + Florida Laws & Rules exams.
- Proficient in clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and uphold professional standards.
