Job Summary
- Under the general supervision of the Pathologists and the Pathology/Histology Supervisor, performs all functions necessary for accurate histological examination of body tissues; processes and stains all specimens submitted for histological analysis
Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree with science classes preferred.
One year prior Histology experience preferred. Demonstrated ability required.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- HT(ASCP) preferred. Demonstrated accurate performance may be considered as substitution for certification.
- Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to maintain confidential information required.
