About the role
The Packing Associate is a vital part of the shipping team responsible for preparing outbound shipments ranging from small parcel (FedEx, UPS) to large-scale freight. This role ensures all items are securely and accurately packed to prevent damage in transit. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
What you"ll do
- Accurately pack medical devices and equipment for small parcel and freight shipments.
- Follow SOPs to ensure packaging meets internal quality standards and carrier requirements.
- Use appropriate packaging materials to secure products during transit.
- Label packages correctly and prepare them for timely pickup.
- Track all outbound shipments using NetSuite; ensure shipment data is updated accurately in the ERP system.
- Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or missing items to the Shipping Lead immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packing area.
- Support the shipping team with staging, pallet wrapping, and moving packages as needed.
- Assist in loading shipments onto outgoing trucks when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or packing environment preferred.
- Prior experience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to manage shipping and inventory tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout an 8–10-hour shift.
- Comfortable working on feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
- Basic understanding of shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, Freight) a plus.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding role.
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- May involve long shifts, including extended hours during peak periods.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay: $20/Hour
