JOB SUMMARY
Assists with production of Revenue Cycle reports under the direction of the Director of Revenue Cycle, as detailed below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains additional financial software reporting on a timely and accurate basis as assigned by Director or CFO.
- Maintain/submit benchmarking as required to reference sites such as but not limited to HBI, etc…
- Provides advice and assistance to department heads and managers in analyzing and interpreting revenue cycle data and reports and workflow impacts. For example, providing weekly reports to department heads on claim denials, charging errors, payment performance, etc…
- Updates revenue cycle department scorecards.
- Assists with preparation of monthly payer reports and payer scorecards.
- Assists with annual budget process on a timely and accurate basis as it relates to reimbursement and payer trends.
- Assists finance team with any revenue cycle data needed for the cost report.
- Assists with preparation of monthly department manager packets.
- Consistently demonstrates the ability to establish appropriate departmental priorities.
- Consistently completes all assignments in a timely manner, thorough and appropriately detailed.
- Effectively maintains all required records for the department; demonstrates good organizational skills.
- Support/complete data extraction as needed.
- Complete Special Projects for CFO, Director, or Managers as approved.
- Work with Finance & Revenue Cycle teams on maintenance of the Charge Master and external reporting requirements.
- Cerner reporting and data analysis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education / Experience / License and Certifications
- High school graduate, required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus of Accounting or IT.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an accounting department, preferred.
- Experience in data analytics, preferred.
Additional Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Computer knowledge required, exhibiting exceptional word processing excel skills.
- General knowledge of clerical accounting practices i.e. processing forms, reconciling accounts.
- Knowledgeable of office equipment including fax machine, photocopier.
- Great customer service skills and working in a team environment.
Specific demands not listed: Possible exposure to blood and or body fluids / infectious disease / hazardous waste requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Exposure to odorous chemicals / specimens and Latex products.
