We are currently seeking a Cost Estimator to join our growing team. This role can be full-time or part-time, and offers the flexibility to work.
Position Summary
The Cost Estimator will support various project teams by preparing and analyzing cost estimates for infrastructure, environmental, and engineering projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate, detailed cost estimates at various stages of design and construction planning.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, environmental, geotechnical, and structural engineering projects.
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documents to develop cost breakdowns.
Assist in project budgeting, planning, and cost control processes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and construction managers.
Monitor industry trends and changes in pricing, materials, and labor costs.
Update estimating tools and databases as needed.
Assist in proposal development and respond to RFPs with cost-related information.
Provide technical support during bidding and negotiation phases.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of relevant cost estimating experience, preferably in engineering or environmental consulting.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Excel and estimating software (e.g., RSMeans, Sage Estimating, or similar).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid/remote environment.
Authorization to work in the United States is required. No sponsorship available.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual Salary: $105,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
