Business Strategist (BHS)

Reports to the Chief Strategy/Digital Officer. Responsible for financial, organizational and expansion goals with a focus on long-term strategy. Will be responsible for presentations, research and data analysis. Primary duties will include examining current business strategies and develop and implement new strategies to improve upon current results and/or to meet new goals. Responsible for developing product and marketing strategies, motivating staff on new strategies and delivering client and investor presentations.

Strategic Partnership:
- Assists in development of business plans/strategic plans for projects.
- Identify opportunities to help Beacon grow business, expand into new markets, increase brand awareness, improving production time or quality and gaining and keeping customers.
- Track monthly and quarterly metrics and develop tactics to assist in achieving the goals.
- Assist in development of the innovation plan and implementation of an innovation mindset and structure.
- Create strategies for competing with other organizations and conduct research regularly in areas such as customer demographics, industry trends, market insights, new technologies, business opportunities and the status of competing organizations.
- Meet with management, stakeholders, employees and clients to collect feedback.
- Create presentations, offer suggestions and help implement changes.
- Create training documents, offer seminars about new ventures.
- Provide support throughout any transitions.
- Analyze available data and analytics to provide recommendations on project scope, market reach, and any changes in direction needed.
- Demonstrating project control internally through measurement, assessment, planning and reporting of key outcome measures (metrics).
- Participating in creating estimated project timelines, resources, costs, and return on investment (ROI) analyses as tied back to strategic priorities.
- Review projects to assure compliance with federal regulations and departmental guidelines.
- Monitor all projects and work assignments in progress and providing periodic status reports to the Chief of Strategy/Digital Officer.
- Act as a liaison between departments, sites and/or agencies to facilitate workflow.
- Create business plans in relation to the current and future state of local/regional economies.
- Conduct surveys with management and stakeholders to understand the specific needs of Beacon Health System.
- Evaluate past and present economic trends, test the effectiveness of current economic policies and create forecasts for future trends.
Fosters a transparent, participatory environment by:
- Collaborates with the Chief Strategy/Digital Officer to understand strategic initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendor representatives, application users, and internal/external customers.
Plans, manages and administers business operations and activities as directed in accordance with goals and objectives by:
- Assisting managers with leading on-site operations improvement efforts and coach others in the development of operations improvement capabilities with emphasis on process redesign.
- Participating in the development, recommendation and implementation of administrative policies, procedures, quality plans (including standards) and operational strategies.
- Assisting the Executive Director with bringing on new site locations providing management assistance during that process.
- Assisting with new building and/or renovation projects.
- Serving as the first point of contact for new managers or mangers new to BMG.
- Driving improvement efforts through evidence-based quality data, and measurement of program.
Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:
- Completing other job-related assignments and special projects as directed.

- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience
- The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree preferred. Requires a minimum of three years of experience in progressively responsible positions with healthcare or other relevant industry experience.

- Requires complex business project development experience (preparing spreadsheets, making business cases, conducting presentations, doing research and data analysis).
