Radiological Technologist
General Summary:
The Radiological Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities; assists the Radiologists and physicians efficiently, and is able to perform all routine clerical and support functions, as well as being able to use all radiology equipment to assist with diagnostic procedures.
Essential Job Functions*:
RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST

Assesses patient condition, moves, assists, and immobilizes patients as needed to assure patient safety, comfort, and modesty.

Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to appropriate supervisor, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.

Demonstrates hospital’s stated mission, vision and values of teamwork, respect and communication with co-workers, patients, families and visitors.

CAT SCAN

Follows manufacturer guidelines in the appropriate use of diagnostic equipment, and protocols established by the department, Radiologist, and manufacturer when operating the CAT Scan equipment.
Qualifications:
Required: Graduate of accredited R.T. program
Preferred: Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
Required: Clinical Rotation with Radiology Program, will accept new graduates.
Preferred: One to three years experience as a Rad Tech, with training in other modalities such as CAT Scan, Mammography, Bone Density.
Required: ARRT Certification or Registry eligible.
Registry should be completed within one year after date of hire, unless arrangements have been made with the Director for extenuating circumstances.
Maintain CEU level adequately. Must remain current in registration and provide proof of good standing annually.
Maintain CPR certification.
Maintain other certifications based on modalities.
NH State License for Medical Imaging-Radiologic Technologist (effective January 1, 2019).
Preferred: Advanced level Certifications such as Mammography and CAT Scan if cross trained into those modalities.
Required: Knowledge of computer systems and applications related to Radiology. Must be able to use computer applications in daily work.
