Glynlea Country Club at Wylder is located on the Treasure Coast, in Port St. Lucie, one of the fastest growing cities in Florida. The Club will feature a signature 18-hole golf course designed by Jim Furyk, a 17-time PGA Tour champion, to provide a blend of challenge, tranquility, and playability. Plans for the complete golf experience include a best-in-class Golf Shop, practice areas to include a large driving range, short game complex, and practice putting greens. The Country Club will also feature a fitness facility, a resort-style pool, dining options and more. Job purpose
To deliver exceptional food and beverage services at the clubhouse and from the beverage cart.
Duties and responsibilities
- Set up beverage assigned beverage cart with appropriate number and type of beverages according to policies advocated by the facility.
- Perform checks to see if dates of expiration on non-alcoholic beverages are valid.
- Obtain wines and other alcoholic drinks from the bar and sign a receipt for them.
- Maintain knowledge of beverage prices and dates to be able to talk intelligently to customers.
- Greet guests in a friendly manner and inquire their beverage requests.
- Fill and serve glasses with guests' preferred brands and ask if they would like refills.
- Perform maintenance and minor repair work on beverage carts to make sure that they do not breakdown.
- Provide guests with checks and process payments.
- Take guests' signatures on receipts for bills that need to paid along with the guests' membership subscriptions.
- Restock carts with beverages, ice, sundries and napkins on a regular basis.
- Provide beverage information regarding year of making and presentation protocols.
- Keep beverage carts fueled and clean and store it at the end of each shift.
- Create and maintain inventory of beverages taken and returned each day.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures
- Age 18, valid Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to operate golf carts
- Present a positive, professional image
- Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable and predictable attendance
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Working conditions
Work is primarily outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements
Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitors and develops subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communication.
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 40 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. constantly. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other sports equipment that may weigh 40 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.
Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golf's Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
