HRT Tactical Gear is committed to delivering high-quality, mission-adaptable tactical gear and lifestyle products.HRT is currently looking to hire a full-time Industrial Sewing Machine Operator for our South Columbus, OH location. Wages will start at $17-$20 an hour (BOE), including the Benefits listed below. This is a first shift position (7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) M-F with some flexibility. We will train highly motivated individuals who are willing to grow as we diversify within the industry.

Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Responsibilities:(Included, but not limited to)
- Sew medium and heavy-duty textile products by operation of an industrial sewing machine
- Assembly of nylon gear via hydraulic press
- Works alongside the Operation manager and design team
- Produce sewn product by replication of a controlled reference sample
- Set up sewing machine with proper thread, tension settings, and programmable operation settings
- Maintain an organized record of sewing construction techniques used on given projects, and updates
- File Prototype samples, mock-ups, and keep sample and sewing location organized
- Run our riveter to assembly products
- Sew products within established standards, meet deadlines and maintain a high degree of workmanship
Qualifications for the Industrial Sewing Machine Operator:
- Experience in Apparel, preferably Tactical, Outerwear using heavy weight fabrics, Activewear.
- Previous industry sewing experience is highly valued
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines, including cover-stitch, flatlock, straight stitch, overlock
- Skill in applying technical and construction knowledge to different apparel design pieces
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize time to meet deadlines
- 2nd amendment advocate highly preferred
- Prior military service or law-enforcement experience welcome
