Position Overview:
The Software Architect is responsible for designing and developing new software products or significant enhancements to existing applications. This role involves addressing complex issues of systems integration, compatibility across diverse platforms, and ensuring the robustness and scalability of software solutions. The Software Architect will oversee project execution to ensure timely and successful completion and conduct feasibility analyses to assist management in evaluating future projects.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead the design and development of new software systems or major enhancements to existing ones.
-Resolve issues related to systems integration, platform compatibility, and multi-platform deployment.
-Ensure that software solutions meet technical, security, and usability requirements across various environments.
-Oversee and guide project activities to completion, ensuring adherence to technical standards and timelines.
-Perform feasibility analysis and technical assessments for potential future projects.
-Collaborate with stakeholders—including project managers, developers, and clients—to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable software architectures.
-Develop documentation, standards, and guidelines for software development and integration.
-Keep current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance and security.
Minimum Requirements:
-Five (5) years of relevant software development and architecture experience.
-Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
-Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) security clearance at the time of proposal submission.
-DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I.
