Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. The OT will assess patients, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide interventions aimed at improving motor skills, coordination, and daily function. This role is essential in helping individuals regain independence and enhance their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess patients’ functional abilities and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on motor skills, coordination, and independence.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment to enhance daily living skills.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, assistive devices, and strategies for improving function.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment adjustments.
- Stay up to date with best practices, research, and advancements in occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active Occupational Therapy license in Missouri.
- Experience: Prior experience in occupational therapy (preferred but not required).
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.
- Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).
Work Environment:
- Full-time or PRN (as-needed) opportunities available.
- Work settings may include hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
