Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will assist in implementing treatment plans, helping patients develop or regain essential motor skills and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in carrying out patient treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
- Observe, document, and report patient progress to the Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions and therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Licensure: Active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Missouri.
- Certification: NBCOT certification (preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience in rehabilitation or clinical settings preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
- Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).
Work Environment:
- Full-time or PRN (as-needed) opportunities available.
- Work settings may include hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
- Requires adaptability and teamwork within a patient-centered care model.
