About the role:
The Fabricator reports to the Supervisor. They will construct and manufacture metal parts and products with clean and polished welds. Determine measurements, follow blueprints and fabricate parts used in a later assembly process.
Roles/Tasks of the Position:
- Follow instructions from supervisors to tasks (e.g., counting inventory, communicating with drivers, checking in trucks, etc.).
- Reports issues in a timely manner.
- Promote a safe and clean work environment by keeping workstations/equipment neat and organized.
- Work in a team environment to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle and transport materials and equipment.
- Utilizing computer programs such as Microsoft as well as inventory programs to accurately input data.
- Use of heavy-duty industrial power tools & equipment.
- Can read a tape measure.
- Familiarity with power tools.
- Measuring, cutting, bending, assembling materials.
- Reading blueprints, drawing, etc.
- Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for later assembly
- Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of output
- Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of fabricated parts
- Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
- Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in fabrication, including designs, uses, maintenance and repair.
- Prior experience fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
- Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding and fabrication symbols
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to fabrication assignments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Fabrication experience.

- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.

- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
- Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or paper copy.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
Prerequisites/Requirements:
- Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
- Valid Driver"s License and Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
