The Colleague in this position is responsible for supporting a culture and processes within the organization that results in timely and actionable risk management data available to stakeholders throughout the organization, this Colleague will need to work collaboratively with the General Counsel with regard to other risk domains such as operational, strategic, financial, human capital, legal / regulatory and technology. The position is responsible for training of Colleagues regarding reporting of risk, customer service, service recovery, and grievance events. This position is responsible for fostering high levels of customer service by coordinating information provided to patients and their families. This position will seek to provide timely and accurate information to patients, their families and organization leadership. This position coordinates ongoing development and implementation process improvement methods and systems to improve service, based on results of risk trends and patient satisfaction measures. Working in conjunction with appropriate stakeholders, the person in this position will identify opportunities, facilitate and when appropriate lead efforts to minimize enterprise risk, improve Colleague and patient safety, and improve the customer experience.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor degree in clinical specialty such as nursing, social work, or other clinical areas.
Preferred Education: Masters Degree in business or healthcare related field preferred.
Minimum Experience: Requires strong written and verbal skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects. Computer knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other health professionals at all levels of a health care organization.
Preferred Experience: Leading DIGs, RIEs and projects within Goshen Health’s TUL system. 2 years or more in health care leadership role,
Experience with EMRs and risk reporting software.
Certifications Preferred: CSHRM certification within 18 months of hire.
