Position Summary

Acts as a first point of contact for the Medical Director of Behavioral Health. Provides secretarial support and assistance to the Medical Director of Behavioral Health, Department Chairperson, Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Nurses, Clinical Support staff and BH Managers as required.
Primary Position Responsibilities

Manage and maintain work calendar, telephone communication and schedule for the Medical Director. Schedules meetings for the Department and manages Multi-disciplinary meetings throughout Hunterdon Health as needed.

Transcribes minutes for several Behavioral Health Department committees. Prepare reports, collect and analyze information; prepare presentations as requested. Provide clerical and general office support to other areas as needed. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to other staff members when appropriate.

Provide UKG review and processing. Answer questions regarding payroll for employees as needed. Assists with time off approval.

Interacts with patients when appropriate and problem solves. Document complaints and develop an appropriate course of action. Report problems to Administrators when they cannot be resolved for attention.

Evaluate policies to ensure they are in compliance with corporate rules and mission for the Medical Director and other department managers.

Court Liaison for Psychiatric Inpatient involuntary beds.
