Workforce Development Program Coordinator
Reports to: Manager, Workforce Development

About the Role
As the Workforce Development Program Coordinator, you will design, coordinate, and manage initiatives that enhance the skills, recruitment, and retention of Beacon associates. You’ll develop strong partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and workforce agencies to create pathways for new talent and support the growth of current healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Implementation

Collaborate with the Manager of Workforce Development and key partners to design, launch, and evaluate workforce development programs.

Oversee the administration of healthcare workforce initiatives aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
Partnership Building

Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, schools, community colleges, universities, and government agencies.

Identify workforce needs and create training pathways that prepare students and professionals for in-demand healthcare roles.
Recruitment & Retention Support

Organize recruitment events, job fairs, field trips, job shadows, and targeted outreach campaigns.

Support career advancement for healthcare workers through mentorship, continuing education, and leadership development opportunities.
Training & Certification Coordination

Facilitate continuing education and training programs to help associates gain new skills and certifications.

Develop workshops and seminars on topics such as patient care, medical technologies, and cultural competency.
Data & Reporting

Collect, analyze, and report on program outcomes, including job placements, career growth, and employee satisfaction.

Use data to refine programs and share results with stakeholders, funders, and regulatory bodies.
Grants & Funding
Policy & Compliance

Stay up-to-date on healthcare workforce policies, labor regulations, and accreditation standards.

Ensure all programs comply with federal, state, and local laws.
Community Outreach
Essential Program Oversight

Provide administrative oversight and data analysis for programs such as Beacon Pathways, Beacon Scholars, and the Beacon Administrative Fellowship.

Support Beacon Administrative Fellows through recruitment, orientation, training, and mentorship.

Coordinate student rotations and internships with a focus on DEIB principles.

Represent Beacon at job fairs and community events as a DEIB advocate.

Attend and actively participate in team meetings.

Complete all required training, competencies, and health requirements on time.

Maintain any required certifications or licenses in good standing.

What You Need to Succeed
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in workforce development, HR, healthcare administration, or a related area.

Experience working with healthcare providers, schools, or workforce development agencies is preferred.

Familiarity with healthcare certifications and continuing education requirements.
Knowledge & Skills

Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to analyze workforce data and use insights to drive improvements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management tools.

Understanding of the healthcare labor market, workforce trends, and best practices in training and education.
Working Conditions

Full-time role, primarily office-based with occasional community outreach or fieldwork.

May require occasional evenings or weekends for special programs or events.

Some travel required for outreach and partnership meetings.
