SUMMARY: Serves as an advance practice nurse (ARNP), providing medical care to diabetic hospital patients in tandem with Internal Medicine and Hospitalist physicians as well as other clinical staff. Maintains an advanced knowledge-base and skills in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical and psycho-social assessment, and management of health and illness in the healthcare of individuals.
Required Education: Master's degree in nursing; completion of an accredited NP school
Required Experience: Two (2) years' experience in an inpatient medical setting
Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Missouri Registered Professional Nurse; Nurse Practitioner license; BLS
Preferred Experience: Placing central or arterial lines
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: ACLS
