Reports to the Director leads innovative and relevant programming through development, specialist oversight, and continuous improvement. Manages fitness specialists and coordinates day-to-day operations, facility/equipment maintenance, member retention and engagement initiatives. Reports to Director.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and assess innovative health and fitness programs and challenges.
- Collaborate with the Membership Office to align staff processes and enhance member intake and retention.
- Oversee fitness specialists and program staff, including initial appointment reporting, program revenue, member engagement tracking and specialist credentialing.
- Manage team schedules, payroll, service/program quality, complete any CARES incident reports investigation.
- Recruit, onboard, supervise, and evaluate Fitness Specialists
- Collaborate with MEC and other coordinators/ Fitness Managers to streamline new member intake and enhance member engagement.
- Lead/Co-lead fitness team meetings, safety education, and performance evaluations.
- Create and execute schedules of programs, challenges, events, and team incentives.
- Collect member feedback and use data to improve program engagement and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies
- Track and communicate retention metrics and lead initiatives aimed at improving performance and member engagement.
- Support BHF MFA facility certification.
- Conduct regular in-service training to ensure safety, quality control, and adherence to best practices.
- Assist in finding coverage for applicable member-facing services (PT sessions, IA’s, Classes, etc.), or sub when no other coverage is available.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field required; master’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years of fitness industry experience, preferred experience in a supervisory or management role.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven background in sales and marketing, ideally within the health and fitness industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of exercise science, group fitness, personal training, and wellness programming.
- Understanding of marketing principles, member motivation, and safety protocols.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Commitment to health and fitness lifestyle and practices.
- Proficiency in standard office and fitness software applications.
- Ability to travel between Beacon Health & Fitness locations as needed.
Working Conditions
- Primarily works in a fitness facility and office setting.
Physical Requirements
- Must have the physical ability and stamina to perform essential job functions.
