DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

The Partial Hospital Behavioral Health Clinician II is responsible providing direct clinical care of PHP patients, including but not limited to, facilitating group, family, couples and milieu therapies; conducting crisis assessment, triaging patient referrals, and conducting admission, treatment, and discharge planning. The Partial Hospitalization Program at BMC is a structured outpatient and intensive, group therapy program for individuals with Behavioral Health (BH)/Substance Use Disorder (SUD) illnesses that provides an effective alternative to an acute care admission or to decompensation in the community. Milieu-based treatment is provided by a multidisciplinary BH team.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience:
-
Three years in psychiatric, community mental health, or behavioral health care setting in direct care provision including individual, family, group and milieu treatment.

Proficiency in dual-diagnosis treatment preferred.

CBT and/or DBT training preferred.

Proven knowledge of community, outpatient behavioral health, and SUD treatment resources.

Education and Training:
-
Master’s degree in clinical social work or related healthcare field required.

License, Certification & Registration:
-
LCLILM - LICSW or LMHC required.

LADC or CADC preferred.
-
CBT, DBT training and/or certification preferred.

Other Requirements:

Strong organizational abilities.

Strong interpersonal, communication and team building skills.

Ability to form rapid engagement and alliance building with referrals and patients.

Ability to maintain and monitor confidentiality of patient records.

Ability to work in an independent and self-directed .

Ability to learn new duties and adjust to change.
