Cancer Services Manager Position Summary
Responsible for the management of Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute Salisbury medical oncology office, outpatient infusion area, and services to support the operations of these areas. Partners and works collaboratively with the Director of Cancer Center Operations to achieve departmental, organizational, and system-wide strategic goals. Coordinates day-today operations, including but not limited to staffing, scheduling, intradepartmental concerns, quality, and patient concerns. Also responsible for management of human, fiscal, and other resources, development of personnel, and compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Cancer Services Manager Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree of Business, Nursing or related healthcare field or in the pursuit of is required.
• Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland (or approved compact state)
• OCN Certification within 3 years of hire/transfer to an oncology area (for RNs only)
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience; Oncology clinical experience preferred.
• Health Care Management experience preferred
Cancer Services Manager Work Schedule
• Exempt position. Variable shifts depending on the needs of the department. Typical hours are Monday – Friday day shift.
• May required weekend and evening hours as needed to cover the demand and outreach/educational events.
• Expected to respond in the event of a disaster
