POSITION OVERVIEW
Unchained is seeking a Research Analyst to lead the development of original research on bitcoin's role in global markets, adoption dynamics, and the broader financial system. From analyzing macro trends and sovereign debt risk to visualizing data on nation-state adoption or unpacking bitcoin's historical arc, you'll create high-impact content that informs and persuades.
You'll collaborate with top thinkers in bitcoin, economics, and public policy to produce work that earns attention, builds trust, and drives action toward self-sovereignty. These won't be white papers for the shelf—they're strategic assets that shape how institutions, investors, and policymakers think about bitcoin.
You'll help define Unchained's voice on critical issues like monetary policy, sovereign finance, and the future of custody—ensuring our research is not just respected, but relied upon.
WHAT YOU"LL DO
- Identify, coordinate, and co-produce research reports, essays, and whitepapers with macroeconomic, political, and bitcoin finance thought leaders.
- Source and synthesize relevant research, data, and commentary across economic policy, markets, and bitcoin infrastructure to support content development.
- Manage the editorial lifecycle for major reports—from concept development and outlining to drafting, editing, and stakeholder coordination—and support the development and deployment of go-to-market strategies.
- Engage partners in video interview formats to amplify co-marketing campaigns and bring research narratives to life across digital and social channels.
- Write and edit content for both institutional and retail audiences, helping transform expert insights into accessible, high-signal narratives.
- Maintain relationships with analysts, researchers, and partner organizations to develop new collaboration opportunities and stay ahead of narrative trends.
- Collaborate with the marketing team, especially the VP of Content Marketing, to ensure research-based content supports lead generation, brand positioning, and audience engagement goals.
- Support content distribution and amplification across podcasts, email, social, earned media, and co-marketing partner channels.
- Monitor macroeconomic and policy developments to inform editorial planning and respond with agility to emerging trends.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have 3+ years of experience in research, content strategy, or editorial roles within fintech, macroeconomics, journalism, or policy.
- You have a demonstrated ability to work with subject-matter experts to develop original content that is both analytically rigorous and broadly accessible.
- You have strong writing, editing, and synthesis skills—able to turn complex material into polished reports and compelling narratives.
- You are familiar with economic policy, financial markets, and bitcoin's evolving role in both.
- You have experience conducting or facilitating interviews, podcasts, or video content with external partners.
- You have excellent organizational and communication skills; able to manage priorities independently in a fast-moving environment.
- You live in the United States
