Job Summary: : The Intern will work with the SVP of Support Services and help in the development of a community-based engagement and outreach strategy that promotes women’s health and well-being. Responsibities are outlined below , but may be subject to change to meet the overall goals and objectives of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Gather baseline information on community members in targeted areas
- Analysis that includes a comprehensive review of health equity community engagement projects locally and nationally to inform best practices.
- A mapping exercise to identify key community stakeholders (e.g., CBOs, faith-based institutions, etc.)
- Development of a project roadmap that outlines activities and a timeline to begin engaging communities and bridging partnerships
- Development of collateral to support plan rollout, this may include creating templates, tools, messaging, or other patient-facing documents that are identified during the research and development phase of the project.
- A report describing the needs of priority groups using community needs assessment and other analyses
- Literature review that illustrates community engagement best practices
- Comprehensive resource list of community-based organizations, advocacy groups, social service providers, and other public entities within targeted areas
- Development Community Engagement Action Plan
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
Education: High School diploma required
Licenses / Certifications:
Other: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point). Experience with Microsoft
