JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for clinical risk management activities for Blessing Corporate Services (BCS). This position reports directly to the Administrative Director of Risk Management. The objective of this position is to assist the AD of Risk Management in the identification, assessment, and prevention of actual and potential risk exposures within the health system, especially as it relates to the clinical environment. This is accomplished by utilizing clinical knowledge for enhancing employee and patient safety, promoting safe practices, improving quality care and services we deliver, loss prevention, claims avoidance, litigation defense, and the overall protection of the health system’s assets.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission and Vision of the Blessing Health system. It is expected that the employee demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Core Values and ICARE standards while supporting BHS’ strategic plan, goals and objectives.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing/Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of three years clinical experience.
- Knowledge of state, federal regulations and accreditation standards
- Must demonstrate confidentiality, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with patients, families, staff, and attorneys.
- Excellent analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills; organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED:
- Risk Management, Employee Safety/Workers Comp, or Patient Safety related experience preferred.
- Experience with incident reporting systems
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

Possesses current State RN license.

Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) within 3 years
