York Hospital, an independent community hospital in the charming, seaside town of York, Maine, is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP) to join our exclusively outpatient psychiatry practice. The practice includes a therapist and weekly supervision is provided by a board certified psychiatrist. The PMH-NP’s are supported by a vibrant team of medical assistants and administrative support staff. Referrals are primarily generated by York Hospital PCP’s and specialists all working together on a state of the art electronic health record that promotes efficient documentation and integrated care. Patient care is delivered both in person and via a HIPPA compliant telemedicine platform. Compensation is competitive and aligned with regional and national benchmarks.

- 48 Adult Medicine Beds: 5 Maternity, 5 ICU
- 13 bed ED with support from mental health crisis clinicians.

Position Attributes

- Full-time, hospital employed;
- Competitive salary and excellent benefits
- Monday–Friday, 5 days/week including 1 administrative day
- In-person and telehealth visits
- Shared call model for the outpatient practice only. (frequency determined by size of the group practice)
- Time off and stipend for continuing medical education.
Candidate Requirements

- License to practice as an Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP) in the State of Maine
- Must have current, unrestricted, Maine licensure and federal DEA license active on date of hire
- ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP)
- 2-5 years of experience practicing as board certified PMH-NP is preferred.
