Role Overview:
Responsible for designing and overseeing the overall process architecture of our ERP, MES, finance and supporting systems. This includes defining the process for how different systems interact, ensuring efficiency, and aligning the system with business requirements by considering technical and operational aspects across the entire system lifecycle. Essentially, they translate business needs into a well-structured system design with a focus on process optimization. This role will work closely with business process owners and our systems ERP administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements: Understand the business needs and translate them into technical system requirements, considering data flow, user interactions and system integrations.
- Design system architecture: Create a detailed blueprint of the system, including the overall process flow, data models, system components, and interfaces, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Define process workflows: Model and document the step-by-step processes within the system, including decision points, approvals, and data dependencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Communicate the system design clearly to various stakeholders, gathering feedback and addressing concerns.
- Technology selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools to implement the system based on performance, compatibility, and cost considerations.
- Quality assurance: Ensure the system architecture adheres to quality standards, security protocols, and best practices. Ensure the processes meet government, compliance and data quality standards.
- Adapt systems to incorporate advanced technologies: Develop systems process roadmap that embraces innovation to maintain competitive advantage (e.g. AI, mobile ERP, IoT integration)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor"s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems management, preferably in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
- Ability to understand complex systems and identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies within processes
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Palantir, Epicor).
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, predictive analytics and optimized process design
- Effective communication to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Due to contract requirements with the Department of Defense, U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hardware or aerospace manufacturing and assembly. Strong knowledge of the development lifecycle and product lifecycle stages.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or APICS/CPIM certification.
- Strong understanding of various software development technologies, databases, and integration frameworks; previous experience working with AI, advanced WMS, and predictive analytics.
- Understanding of ISO/AS9100 quality standards.
