Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse – Perinatal Analyst plays a vital role in improving maternal and neonatal outcomes by analyzing clinical data related to perinatal care. This position combines clinical expertise with data analysis to support quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and patient safety in obstetric and neonatal services. The RN Perinatal Analyst collaborates with clinical teams, data managers, and quality leaders to monitor outcomes, identify trends, and recommend evidence-based strategies for care improvement. The Analyst will build and lead performance improvement project teams to support implementation, monitoring and sustainability. The Analyst will conduct monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating clinical data related to maternal care to perform focused reviews as requested for root cause analysis and scheduled hospital-wide monitoring.
Qualifications
Education:
Must be currently Licensed in the state of Texas as a Registered Nurse.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. MSN Preferred.
Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB), Maternal Newborn Nursing, or related specialty preferred.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality ( CPHQ) certification is a plus.
Training and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in labor & delivery, postpartum, or neonatal care required
Minimum of 1-2 years or experience in clinical data analysis, quality improvement, or healthcare analytics preferred.
Must obtain Lean Six Sigma Green Belt within one year (1) of hire.
Proficient in computer hardware, software, networks, and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required, with familiarity in basic office equipment Experience with Excel, reports writing and an ability to work with multiple databases preferred.
Excellent written/oral communication skills required.
Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
