This is a remote, work from home position. We are seeking a remote Media Relations Strategist Liaison (MRSL) to join our team in Brazil.
The Media Relations Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing strategic media relations plans to enhance the agency’s clients’ public image and promote their products, services, and initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the media landscape, excellent communication skills, team leadership, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key media outlets.
Work Schedule: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM EST (Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Media Strategies: Develop and execute media relations strategies to increase brand visibility and promote key messages.
- Media Outreach and Pitching: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers to secure media coverage.
- Media Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on the organization's public image.
- Drive Media Success: Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy stories and develop compelling press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials.
- Engage Media Interaction: Organize press conferences, media briefings, and other events to facilitate media engagement.
- Act as a single POC for JOTO with Clients, Clients’ Spokespersons; as well as during Media Events & Speaking Engagements.
- Industry Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date with industry trends, news cycles, and emerging platforms to identify opportunities for proactive media outreach.
- Oversee Comprehensive Media Engagement: Monitor news sources, pitch stories, and draft communication materials daily. Conduct audience research and analyzezcoverage weekly. Proactively address crises and refine strategies monthly. Maintain crisis plans and industry connections.
- Develop and Implement Process Improvements: Continuously evaluate media outreach workflows and procedures to streamline efficiency, enhance effectiveness, and optimize resource allocation, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the media relations team.
