JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Team Lead (Night Shift - Alternate Weekends) to join our team. The Production Team Lead will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily production activities on the manufacturing floor, ensuring product quality, food safety, and team efficiency in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of production associates to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety protocols, and company policies.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and other departments to resolve production issues.
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to promote continuous improvement and high performance.
- Ensure accurate completion of production paperwork, logs, and system data entry.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials and packaging supplies; communicate shortages or issues to supervisors.
- Enforce safety standards and conduct daily safety checks and audits.
- Participate in shift changeovers, team meetings, and daily production planning.
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform production tasks as needed to support team performance and output.
Skills & Qualifications - Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or similar production environment.
- Prior leadership experience (lead, supervisor, or coordinator role).
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, USDA, etc.).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Skills & Qualifications - Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in food science, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant language).
- Experience with ERP systems or production tracking software.
