COOLER/REFRIGERATED WAREHOUSE – Job Description

Seasonal Cooler Position Second Shift
Shift: Monday through Friday 3 PM to 11 PM (with possible mandatory Saturdays)
Wage: $19.33 per hour (plus shift differential from 3 PM to 7 AM)
Job Type: Full time, 90-day probation
Union: Teamsters Local 600, must join union after 30 days
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Taking out trash, sweeping, cleaning of cooler facility and area (inside and outside)
- Fixing and repairing damaged racks
- Loading and unloading products
- Palletizing and re-palletizing of products
- Picking orders as instructed
- Using forklifts in a safe and orderly manner (you will go through training and be certified, prior)
- Filling out all paperwork properly and entirely
- Changing of batteries that operate forklifts
- Loading and unloading products
- Loading and unloading trailers
- Moving company trailers and truck on company property
- Checking fuel and oil levels in trailers
- Light maintenance duties as needed
- Any other job associated with cooler/refrigeration position at this facility
Education/Experience:
- Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to read and speak English fluently (for safety purposes)
- Highschool diploma or GED preferred
- Cooler/Freezer experience preferred
- Food manufacturing experience preferred
Qualifications/Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions, technical manuals, and oral instructions related to the operation of the cooler department
- Ability to lift, push, pull product and equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to function in extreme temperatures
- Must have knowledge in inventory rotation
- Forklift experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a post offer drug screen, breath alcohol test, physical, and background check
