About the role
Salaried Position; $60,000 - $72,000 Base + Bonus
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Sales Manager to lead our membership sales teams at Zion HealthShare. In this position you will have the opportunity to establish our internal sales team by hiring, training, and managing a team of Membership Sales Specialists. You will also lead in the management of our external sales team of affiliates. This role reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and is eligible for quarterly performance bonuses. Candidates with experience in sales and sales management will be considered, with a background in medical sales preferred.
What you"ll do
- Manage all employees on the sales team, including payroll, time off requests, performance, hiring, education, and training.
- Participate in the sales process with team members by taking inbound calls, chats, and emails.
- Engage in outbound lead generation and prospecting to recruit new affiliates and sign up new company accounts.
- Attend industry conferences and other events as an exhibitor, including event prep for travel, collateral, and swag.
- Track lead generation and membership growth through reports.
- Conduct regular employee performance evaluations.
- Conduct weekly sales huddles for training, best practices, motivation, reporting, and goal kick offs.
- Work with the Director to monitor lead quality and efficacy of advertising campaigns.
- Recruit, train, and coach affiliate resellers and ensure they are supported in their efforts.
- Create policies and procedures for more efficient streamlined development and sales practices.
- Collaborate with marketing to create collateral for sales initiatives.
- Establish and track goals, metrics and KPI's for all team members and accounts through sales analytics.
- Establish and implement initiatives and strategic plans for improving sales efforts, developing new accounts, and increasing memberships.
- Report numbers and metrics to Director of Sales & Marketing.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in sales position(s), with experience in medical or healthcare preferred
- 2+ years of experience managing a sales team
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field such as communications or business
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships
- Ability to be innovative, analytical, and strategic in achieving goals
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building, sales, and customer service
- Proficiency with various tools such as Zoho CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, analytics systems, and virtual meeting platforms
- Knowledge of Employer Tax Laws including the Affordable Care Act
- Committed to continuous education through traditional education, workshops seminars and/or conferences
Physical Requirements
- The role will travel occasionally for business-related events, conferences, and client meetings, including occasional overnight stays. Travel may involve using various modes of transportation (ex. car, plane, etc.) and may require carrying luggage or event materials.
- The position regularly sits for extended periods as well as may stand for long periods at events, conferences, or during presentations.
- This role may require occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 40 pounds (e.g., event supplies, promotional materials). Must be able to perform basic manual tasks such as handling materials, setting up displays, or assisting with logistics during events.
